SMK Negeri 2 Kota Bandung Raih Sertifikat SMM ISO 9001:2008

Bandung - SMKN 2 Bandung (STMN 1), berhasil meraih sertifikat Sistem Manajemen Mutu ISO 9001:2008. Prestasi ini terbilang luar biasa karena selain menjadi SMK pertama di Jabar yang melakukannya, prestasi ini ditorehkan meski SMKN 2 belum tergabung dalam RSBI.
Senin, 22 Juni 2009, impian SMKN 2 Kota Bandung untuk menjadi sekolah yang memiliki sistim manajemen mutu (SMM) yang diakui secara internasional telah terwujud. SMK Negeri 2 (STM Negeri 1) Kota Bandung yang lahir pada tahun 1951 di Jalan Dr. Wahidin No.2 Bandung, sekarang berada di jalan Ciliwung No.4 Bandung, telah menerima Sertifikat SMM ISO 9001:2008 yang diberikan langsung oleh Presiden Direktur PT TUV International Indonesia, Bp. Ir. M. Bascharul Asana, MBA.
Keberhasilan sekolah yang kini memiliki 2 program studi keahlian tersebut, merupakan hasil kerjasama, kerja keras dan dukungan penuh dari seluruh warga sekolah untuk selalu meningkatkan manajemen sekolah, selalu melakukan perbaikan secara berkelanjutan, dengan tujuan pelanggan (calon siswa, siswa, orang tua, dan dunia usaha/industri) merasa puas dengan pelayanan yang diberikan oleh SMKN 2 Kota Bandung.
SMKN 2 Kota Bandung mulai merintis SMM ini sejak Desember 2007 dengan dibimbing oleh Drs. Edy Purwanto, MM sebagai pihak konsultan. Penerapan SMM ISO 9001:2000 (berkembang menjadi SMM ISO 9001:2008) dilounching pada tanggal 8 September 2008. Sedangkan Audit Eksternal dilaksanakan pada bulan April 2009. Karena kami harus menabung untuk biaya persiapan sertifikasi mengingat bahwa sampai saat ini SMK Negeri 2 Kota Bandung belum tergabung dalam kegiatan RSBI (Rintisan Sekolah Berstandard Internasional).
"Hari Senin, 22 Juni 2009 SMK Negeri 2 Kota Bandung telah menerima Sertifikat SMM ISO 9001:2008, kami juga harus ingat pula bahwa hal ini merupakan titik awal kami untuk senantiasa meningkatkan pelayanan secara prima kepada pelanggan kami," ungkap Bp. Drs. H. RAD Supardan, MM, Kepala SMK Negeri 2 Kota Bandung.
Sayangnya acara yang begitu berarti bagi dunia pendidikan, khususnya warga SMK Negeri 2 Kota Bandung tersebut tidak dihadiri oleh Bapak Gubernur ataupun Bapak Walikota Bandung sehubungan dengan acara Beliau yang tidak bisa ditinggalkan, walaupun kami sangat mengharapkan kehadiran beliau.
Sambutan dari Bapak Gubernur telah dibacakan oleh Kepala BPTP Disdik Prov. Jabar, sedangkan sambutan dari Bapak Walikota Bandung dibacakan oleh Kabid PSMAK Disdik Kota Bandung.
Turut hadir dalam acara tersebut adalah Kepala Disdik Prov.Jabar, yang diwakili oleh Kepala BPTP Disdik Prov.Jabar, Kasi Kursisjian, Kasi Ketenagaan & Kesiswaan Disdik Kota Bandung, para Kepala Sekolah, Unsur DU/DI, mantan kepala sekolah, purnabakti, tokoh masyarakat, pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan, serta siswa-siswi SMK Negeri 2 Kota Bandung.
Kegiatan tersebut dimeriahkan dengan tari Saman, Jaipong, Nasyid, dan Degung yang disajikan begitu apik oleh siswa-siswi SMK Negeri 2 Kota Bandung. Semoga Allah Subhanahuwataala melimpahkan kepada kami kepedulian, kebersamaan, saling percaya satu dengan yang lain, kesabaran, kekuatan dan determinasi dalam upaya menghela SMK NEGERI 2 KOTA BANDUNG ini ke tataran yang lebih maju dan sejahtera.
